Barry M's Rose Hip Gelly Hi-Shine Polish

Another new Gelly Hi-Shine polish has been released and it is another total winner! (Please excuse my messy photographs) Barry M's Rose Hip Gelly Hi-Shine Polish is a gorgeous pale pink polish. I don't actually have any other pink polish this colour and I really like it.

This polish looks lovely on the nails and would look great with a tan. Although it still looks nice next to my pale scottish skin.

As always, the formula is amazing and you only need two coats of this polish for total opacity. The brush is really nice and the polish is hard wearing.

This is definitely a great polish to try if you would like a bit of a change from bright colours.

What do you think? Have you tried this polish?

Sunday NOTD

Seeing as it is almost July and I am currently having some time off from work I decided I would paint my nails orange and yellow. Clearly hoping these polish colours will bring the sunshine out. It has only been about 12 degrees c over the last few days brrr!

I have used Topshop's gorgeous orange Stage Dive polish and their yellow Bee's Knees polish. I have also used Barry M's Treasure Chest Glitter polish over the yellow polish (I've got to get a bit of sparkle in there don't I!?!).

These Topshop polishes were a dream to apply-i just love love love their formula!

What do you think of this combination? What are you wearing on your nails at the moment? I would love to hear from you!

Gilmore Girls: One To Watch

Have you ever seen the awesome TV programme that is Gilmore Girls? Sometimes I'm a little shocked at how many people have never heard if it. It is one of my all time favourite programmes which is up there with the likes of 24, Prison Break and Gossip Girl.

So, Gilmore Girls doesn't have action scenes but it does have drama, a great storyline throughout and comedy. It is such a witty programme that even though I have watched all seven seasons multiple times over the years I still pick up  funny jokes that some how had passed me by. I particularly love the comedic aspect of this show-it's just awesome!

I recommend giving it a watch especially if you love Gossip Girl, 90210, One Tree Hill, The Big Bang Theory, 2 Broke Girls etc.

I feel like it is a less well known TV gem which lots of you would love. You can buy the box sets from Amazon for under £10.00 which is a total bargain.

If you are looking for a new box set to watch this one might be for you!

What do you guys think? Any tv programmes that you have been loving lately?

Katy Perry Roar iPhone Case

I decided that I HAD to show you guys this Katy Perry iPhone Case as it is just so cool! It was a bit of a nightmare to photograph as it is holographic but hopefully you will be able to see some of its awesomeness.

The holographic picture is of a roaring tiger just like the one depicted in her video for "Roar". That song holds a lot of importance for me personally so I love having a phone case that reminds me of it.

It has gold and silver studs along the sides of the case which I thought might be likely to fall off but I have been using this phone case for about a month now and it has stayed in great condition.

This phone case comes in different sizes so if you would like one for your phone go and checkout Claire's Accessories website and you will hopefully find one that will fit your phone.

I really love this phone case. It is super cute! What do you guys think about it?

Peppermint Tea Lovin

I am not a tea or coffee drinker at all and since I was a teenager have made an effort to avoid caffeine as it has never had a good effect on me.  If I was unwell and had a sore throat I would drink regular caffeinated tea despite the effects of the caffeine.

Last year I decided I needed something to boost my general well being so I looked into trying different kinds of tea. I was actually quite shocked by some of the possible benefits of certain teas.

For over a year now I have been drinking peppermint tea and I have found that it has helped me out in a few ways.

I drink it at breakfast time and sometimes after dinner and I find that it soothes my tummy during digestion which is great. I have also found that it helps me recover more quickly after I have my period (I have endometriosis). In general I think it actually does boost my overall well being and immune system.

What is excellent about peppermint tea is that it is naturally caffeine free. I find that the mint flavour is not too overpowering and also it tastes quite pleasant. In comparison, I think that green tea is a totally acquired taste.

Peppermint tea also goes so incredibly well with chocolate, biscuits and cake. It tastes great with anything sweet!

You can look up all of the supposed health benefits of peppermint tea online but I have definitely found it a great type of tea for aiding my wellness!

If you don't like caffeine or tea/coffee I would definitely recommend trying peppermint tea for a sore throat or on a cold snowy day if you want a hot drink to warm you up!

Have any if you tried Peppermint Tea before? Which other types is tea do you drink?

Rimmel Lasting Finish Azure Polish

Rimmel's Lasting Finish Azure Polish is one of the prettiest blue metallic polishes that I own. It is such a gorgeous polish with a great formula. The polish applies smoothly and I love the metallic effect. The brush is great as it provides full coverage and your nails are opaque within two coats. You could probably get away with just one coat but I opted for two.

What do you think of this polish? Are you a fan of blue polish?

My brand new video is on my love for Sleek Blusher. It is literally the best blusher I have ever tried! I would say its better than a lot of high end brands. If you would like to hear why it's so good and see which Sleek Blushers I have you can see my video here:) http://youtu.be/1JrPlh3j3xA

What do you think of this combo? What are you wearing on your nails this week?

Rita Ora for Rimmel Pillow Talk Polish

I am just as addicted to pastel polish right now as I am to bright polishes. I couldn't resist purchasing Pillow Talk from the Rita Ora collection for Rimmel. It is a lovely pastel duck egg blue polish with a very very subtle shimmer through it.

As is the case with all of the polishes from this collection, this polish applied really nicely and was opaque within two coats. The brush was great and applied the polish well. The quality of the polish cannot be faulted.

I really love this colour of polish!

What do you guys think of it? Have u tried any polishes from this collection? Let me know your thoughts!

Goodbye To The Clutter: Uni Books

So, I am currently spending my Friday night sorting my old Uni books into bags to be taken to be recycled. It pains me to say that but after selling over 50 of them so far I'm still left with 27.

I asked my old Uni library if they would like the remaining books but they said they were only interested in 5 of them. That was rather gutting but it's years since I left Uni so they are all out of date.

I really need the space asap so I started looking at book selling websites like We Buy Books and Zapper. Unfortunately, these sites only wanted a few of my books and offered me about £4.00 for them so I decided it was more hassle that it was worth.

Seeing as the ones I have left are almost obsolete it's off to the recycling bin they go. Very sad times since they were expensive all those years ago.

I have actually kept quite a few to look back on when I'm older.

This is just one step I'm taking in de-cluttering my house.

Do any of you still have piles of Uni books? How have you removed yours from your homes?:)

Katy Perry Prism Medallion

I thought I would show you guys this cute Katy Perry Prism Medallion that I have been wearing recently. Firstly, who doesn't want to be wearing a medallion around their neck?! It makes me feel retro! Ok I'm just being silly. There is something cool about a big circular disc of golden metal though.

I really like that this is a pretty simple piece of jewellery yet it can add that extra something to an outfit. I love how the letters spelling prism are in a triangular shape and surrounded by more of the same along with four diamantes.

This necklace is quite bold but in a subtle way.

What do you guys think of it? Do you have any pieces from the Katy Perry collection for Claire's Accessories?

Barry M Heather Silk Effects Polish

Ooh Barry M's Heather Silk Effects Polish is so pretty. I have the urge to change my polish and apply this one instead.

Heather is another gorgeous polish from the Silk Effects Collection which I love. This polish is so smooth to apply as it has a beautiful formula. I used 2 coats for complete opacity. The brush is great and the packaging is cute. As always this Barry M polish is fantastic quality polish at a decent price.

I really like that this polish provides a slightly different look. The Silk Effects Polishes can be combined with block colour polishes to create a subtlety different look.

What do you think of this Heather Silk Effects Polish? Have you tried it?

NEW VIDEO: I've Bought Some Lighting

Hey guys!

If you want to see the lighting that I bought for blogging/YouTube in the flesh I've  just uploaded a new video about them.

I thought it was a good idea to show you how big they were in comparison to myself rather than just showing you photos.

So, if you are interested here it is:) http://youtu.be/LC-wwgpIf2Q

Escentric Molecules Molecule 01 Perfume

I am quite excited to share with you how much I love Escentric Molecules Molecule 01 perfume. I actually filmed a video about it a few weeks ago which you can watch here http://youtu.be/8mNhBMNaFrI.

For the last few years I had been sticking to using my all time favourite perfume which is Chanel Chance. Before Christmas I decided it would be a nice treat to try the very much raved about Escentric Molecules Molecule 01 perfume. I was a bit wary about it at first but as soon as I tried it I literally loved it.

It is a totally different type of fragrance for me. When you first spray it on to your skin it has a really spicey, woody scent which is definitely not a scent I would usually choose but I love it. Once it's been on your skin for a wee while it does develop into a unique scent that just makes me want to douse myself in the stuff. I have heard that the scent comes across differently on different people but unfortunately I don't know anyone else who has this perfume so I can't compare the scents.

I ordered this perfume from Liberty's of London and it was pretty reasonably priced for a gorgeous smelling perfume. It is now literally my "special" perfume that I wear on special occasions or when I want to cheer myself up.

I really really love this perfume and would definitely recommend trying it. If you are ever near Liberty's of London definitely go in and see if you can try out a spray or two to see if you like it.

I can't rave about my love for this perfume enough. In my opinion it is definitely worth the hype. Seriously, I just can't get enough....I just sprayed on some more mmmmmm!

Have you tried this perfume? What do you think about it?

Nails Inc's Floral Queensgate Gardens Polish

Have you guys seen Nails Inc's Floral Polish? It is such a cute idea! The packaging is gorgeous too!

I chose to try Queensgate Gardens and applied it over a pink base which I think looks really nice. Nails Inc's Floral polish consists of a mix of confetti strands and discs along with small flower shapes.

This polish applied really nicely although I did find that the flowers were difficult to get on the brush so you have to scoop around for them. However, that really was not an issue. I actually enjoyed strategically placing the flowers on my nails.

The flowers don't lie flat on your nails so they might catch on your clothes even with a top coat over them. I haven't tried this polish out over a week yet to find out how practical this polish is.

What do you guys think about this polish? Do you think it is a cute nail polish for summer?

Sunday NOTD

My Sunday Nails Of The Day are a combination of Topshop's gorgeous blue Celestial polish and Deborah Lipmann's Happy Birthday glitter polish.

I had forgotten how much I love Topshop nail polish. It has such a beautiful formula and great staying power. I highly recommend it.

Of course, I had to team this polish with my favourite glitter polish at the moment by Deborah Lipmann. I'm addicted to it. I am definitely making sure that I get my money's worth out of it!

What do you all think of this combo? What are you wearing on your nails right now?

Maybelline Color Show Street Artist White Splatter Polish

I loved the look of this Maybelline Color Show Street Artist Polish in White Splatter over a mint polish. It looked great although it was pretty difficult to photograph my nails in a way that showed you how cool it looked.

Maybelline's White Splatter Polish applied  smoothly and evenly over the mint base.  The formula was great and the brush did its job well.

This polish has an awesome mixture of shiny and matte glitter particles and strands which vary in size creating a very unique look.

I definitely recommend this polish if you like your nail polish to be a little different.

What do you think of this polish? Which polish colour would you try it over?

Free Ciate Mini Polish & Caviar With Marie Claire

I love when magazines come with free Ciate Polish and Caviar Pearls as the pearls are such a treat and the mini bottle lasts a while.

Julys issue of Marie Claire comes with a lovely coral Ciate polish called Play Date and a cute bottle of Caviar Pearls called Cloud Nine. This Caviar is a blend of metallic red pearls and pearlescent/clear pearls.

There are quite a few different duos to choose from but I'm loving this one. I think the magazine was reduced in price too which makes it a double bargain!

I am looking forward to trying these out. I think they will look great together!

Have you picked up your copy of Marie Claire yet? Which duo did you get?
