Rimmel Space Dust Polish: Shooting Star

Ooh I'm loving this Rimmel Space Dust Polish in Shooting Star. A few weeks ago I posted about the awesome lilac Moon Walking polish which spurred me on to try some of the other polishes in the collection. Shooting Star is a silver textured glitter polish from the Rimmel Space Dust collection and I love it. I'm now addicted to these polishes as they are so sparkly. I wasn't sure if I'd like textured glitter polishes but I love them. The formula is so nice and it glides onto your nails as if it is just metallic polish rather than glitter polish. The brush is really nice and applies the polish effortlessly. You only need two coats of this polish and your nails are perfect. I also love the fact that this polish dries so quickly and it is extremely hard wearing. Even though you don't wear a top coat with it, it just doesn't chip.

I would definitely recommend these Space Dust polishes! I am really excited about them and can't wait to try a few more:-)

Have you tried these Rimmel polishes before? If so, what did you think of them?

Essie The Girls Are Out Polish

Essie's The Girls Are Out polish is a lovely purple polish with a shimmer through it. I'm sure you all know by now how much I love Essie polishes. This polish is no different. Not only is it an awesome colour, it has all of the amazing qualities of Essie polish. I feel a bit like I'm repeating myself but this Essie polish has an amazing formula which is opaque in two coats. The brush is fantastic and makes for easy application. I find that Essie polishes are hard wearing when teamed with a good base and top coat. I would defInitely recommend this polish for its gorgeous shimmery colour and its great formula.

Have you tried Essie polishes? What do you think of this purple polish?

Ciate Pillow Fight Polish

Ciate's Pillow Fight Polish is a mid grey polish which is not the sort of colour I would normally wear but I thought I would give it a go. I have ended up really likeing it. In the photos you will see that I have teamed it up with a black accent nail and some Barry M Diamond glitter. I think it looks great with this glitter over it and it really livens it up. In real life it was much more sparkly an looked awesome.

What do you think of my grey and glitter combo? Do you wear grey nail polish?

Bourjois Laser Toppings Polish: Blue Neon

Bourjois Blue Neon Laser Toppings Polish is a very pretty blue and lilac glitter strand polish. I applied this polish over a black base and it looked really nice. The photos unfortunately make it look so dull because if I photographed it in bright light the glitter strands looked silver so I relied on dim lighting. If you see this polish in a shop you will see how cool it is! I love the colour mix in this polish. It is great to apply as it has a brilliant formula and a fabulous wide brush to spread your gorgeous glitter strands over your whole nail.

This is a great party polish! I'm glad I got it for my Christmas! I'm all about the sparkles just now!

What do you think of this polish? Have you tried it out?

Nail Polish Sets

So I haven't done the typical 'What I Got For Christmas' post and I think I'm a bit late now anyway. So, instead I thought I would just show u a couple of the nail polish sets that I received

Ciate Miss Mistletoe Sequins

I have so many Ciate posts to publish since I have been getting a chance to try out all of the lovely polishes that I got in my Ciate Advent Calendar.  Miss Mistletoe Sequins is a mixed loose glitter which consist of a festive array of colours. There are gold, pink and red glitter particles in Miss Mistletoe. I painted my nails with Essie's Sunday Funday polish (review coming soon) and decided to apply the sequins to two of my nails. I painted the chosen nails with top coat and poured the sequins onto them before shaking off the excess and patting them down neatly. You can then apply top coat to keep the sequins on place. My top tip for gorgeous sequin manicure nails is to make sure that you let your nails dry properly as if you don't you can end up with a squishy sequin mess!

I love this loose glitter. I think it is something fun and different!

What do you think? Have you tried Ciate's Sequin Manicure before? Let me know in the comments section!

Topshop Polish Haul & 2 Polishes For £9.00

I noticed after posting about Topshops Celestial polish that a lot of people are interested in Topshop polish so I thought I would share this little polish haul with you. What is even more exciting is that Topshop are currently offering two polishes for £9.00 instead of each individual polish being sold for £6.00. That makes the polishes £4.50 which is much more affordable. I think if you have never tried Topshop nail polish before and you had been thinking about buying one to try now would be a great time to purchase some since you are saving money! I was really excited when I saw they had this deal on. So, using my Christmas money I bought a couple of lovely new polishes.

Tweed-Le Dee Nail Polish Strips By Sally Hansen

I'm sure you all know by now that I am obsessed with Sally Hansen's amazing Nail Polish Strips. They are way too cool to not post about so I thought I would show you which nail polish strips I am wearing at the moment. These lovely plaid polish strips are called Tweed-Le Dee and I think that they look so cute. If you want to introduce a hint of 90's grunge into your wardrobe subtly then I think these nail polish strips would be a great way to do it. I could totally see Perrie from Little Mix wearing these and obviously completely rocking them!:)

I am loving wearing these. I keep looking at my nails and being reminded of a really cute mini dress I had when I was a kid.

What do you guys think of these? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Bejewelled Gem Crush Polish By Sally Hansen

I love Sally Hansen's Bejewelled Gem Crush polish at the moment. Lilac is one of my favourite colours and there seems to have been a lack of lilac glitter polishes over the years. Bejewelled is a gorgeous lilac full coverage glitter with larger pink glitter particles throughout. This polish applies to the nails really nicely and looks fantastic after two coats. If you feel it needs another coat you could certainly get away with it without the polish becoming gloopy. I was shocked at how good this polish actually was. It's perfect for brightening up January. As usual with glitter polish it was difficult to photograph it well so I have taken photos of this polish in different types of light.

What do you think of this polish? Have you tried any of the other colours from the Gem Crush collection?

Topshop Celestial Polish

I had forgotten how much I love Topshop polishes until I applied their gorgeous blue polish called Celestial. Aside from this being such an amazing polish colour, the formula is fantastic and the brush is pretty good too!  I really adore how the formula is thick, glossy and is opaque within two coats which is what we all want from a nail polish. Topshop's formula seems to be really similar to the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine polishes which are loved by most polish fanatics. The polish brush is really great because it provides really great coverage and is easy to use but at first glance it looks thin and like nothing special. This proves to be a great surprise. Plus I think the bottles are adorable. Anyway, I'm giving this polish a massive thumbs up and recommend that if you are looking for a new polish brand to try give Topshop a go. I think you will be very impressed.

Have you guys tried Topshop polish? If so, do you have a particular favourite?

Elegant Touch Colour Wash Nail Wraps

I received these Elegant Touch Envy Wraps in Colour Wash as a Christmas gift this year. I absolutely loved the gorgeous marbled, pastel coloured design on these nails wraps so I tried them out rather promptly after I got them. The random mix of pastel pink, blue, purple and coral was just perfect and kind of looked a bit like a tie dye design which is something I'm always looking for to wear on my nails. These nail wraps looked so awesome on my nails and they were really glossy when the light hit them. The sizes of wraps which Elegant Touch create are really good. I only had to trim a couple of them down to size. The wraps applied really easily and looked great at first. They were originally wrinkle free and smooth but by the next morning they were wrinkling and peeling off. Therefore, I would definitely recommend that if you wear nail wraps to only apply them a few hours before you want to wear them for a special occasion.  Ideally, I would love if nail wraps didn't wrinkle and peel but I guess it's inevitable that they will. That's why I am such a huge fan of nail polish strips because they last and you feel like you have got your monies worth!

These nails wraps did look pretty gorgeous for a night.

Have you tried these before? Do you think that nail wraps are worth the price and the time spent applying them?

Maybelline Color Show Brocades Polish: Knitted Gold

I am absolutely loving this Maybelline Color Show Brocades polish in Knitted Gold. It is the perfect party polish as it is a lovely gold glitter polish with larger, pink glitter particles throughout it.  I have applied this polish over a white base and I think it looks amazing! It looked ten times better in real life than it does in the photo. This polish would look great with a white dress and gold accessories. I am so glad I have this polish in my collection as it applies really nicely which is testament to its formula and brush. I think this is one of my new favourite polishes!

Have your tried these brocade polishes? Do you have a favourite?

Bourjois Sunny Sunday Polish

I thought I would mix things up a bit today and show you a yellow polish. I know the festive period is just coming to an end and I have a variety of pretty sparkly polishes still to show you but I thought we needed a bit of colour! Over the next few months I plan to post about sparkly and colourful polishes no matter whether its still winter or whether we are into spring.

Bourjois Sunny Sunday polish is a bright yellow polish with a shimmer through it. I have never seen a yellow polish with a shimmer through it so I thought it was really unique. This is one of the Bourjois 1 Second polishes so I thought it would be really easy to apply and that it would dry really quickly. As it was a yellow polish however, it wasn't so great to apply. I needed a few coats of this polish but it was still a bit streaky. I think this is quite normal with yellow polishes so I am not too disappointed I just thought this polish would maybe be a bit more magical! It took a bit longer to dry than the other polishes that I have tried from this range because I had to apply three coats which is a shame. The brush was great because it was one of the really wide ones which Bourjois is known for.

Overall, this polish was ok. I really like how bright it is. I think that the shimmer may actually have hindered the beauty of this polish so I don't think I will be buying a shimmery yellow polish again.

Have you tried this polish? What did you think?

Ciate Snow Globe Polish

Ciate's Snow Globe Polish was the first polish that I received in my Ciate Advent Calendar this year. I have been trying to find a really good polish like this for ages and the closest ive come to it is two lovely Nails Inc polishes. Ciate's Snow Globe polish is a clear polish with flakes of colour changing glitter in it. When painted onto black polish these flakes are a gorgeous blue/green colour sometimes with a hint of amber. I was so impressed by the vivid blue/green colour created by these flakes of glitter. I was rushing when I applied my polish but if you take your time you can create gorgeous Snow Globe nails. This polish applied really well but I would say don't over load your nails with the polish as it goes gloopy! I'm so glad that I have finally found a blue/green toned glitter flake polish.

Have you tried polishes like this before? Which one is your favourite?

New Year Nails: Barry M Holographic Glitter Polish

I hope you all had a great New Year and I'm sending you lots of lucky thoughts for 2014. In my house, we always have a family meal on New Years Day which is basically just like our Christmas dinner woop! So, in a little while I shall be stuffing my face with roast potatoes yum!

I've taken a quick couple of minutes out of the festivities to show you this Barry M Silver Holographic Polish. It is a Boots Limited Edition polish which I got for Christmas. It doesn't have a name but its number is 342.

It is a gorgeous holographic full coverage glitter polish which is amazingly sparkly. I love this polish so much. I didn't think it would be as sparkly and awesome as it was but I love the final result! It applied really nicely and has all of the brilliant features of a Barry M polish. I think this is probably the best full coverage, glittering holographic polish I have ever tried. It really is fantastic. I would definitely recommend it.

You will see from the photos how cool it is. Some of them are a little blurred to show you just how holographic and multicoloured this polish is.

Have you tried this polish? What is your favourite holographic glitter polish?
