Ciate Advent Calendar Day 8: Kiss Chase Polish

Polish number eight from my Ciate Advent Calendar is a pretty pink polish called Kiss Chase. Pink is one of the most popular colours of the season so this polish is bang on trend. This year I have become a massive fan of pink polish so I think this Kiss Chase polish is lovely. I have taken photos of it in different lights to try to show this polish off at its best. You could totally add a coat of glitter on top of this polish to make it more festive!

Are you a fan of pink polish? Let me know what you think!:)

China Glaze Pizzazz Polish

China Glaze is a brand of polish that is really hard to get hold of in the UK. I managed to order    a China Glaze polish which is called Pizzazz from Amazon. I think this polish travelled all the way from the USA and luckily it arrived in one piece! Pizzazz is a pretty multi-coloured glitter polish consisting of a mixture of three different sizes of glitter particles. There are pink, red, silver, gold, blue and green glitter particles in this polish which makes it look pretty awesome. In the bottle this polish looks like it is mainly made up of silver glitter however once it is on your nails it look multi-coloured which is great. I found this polish fairly easy to apply and the formula is good. The good brush enabled the polish to glide onto my nails. I really can't find any negatives.

My first impressions of China Glaze polish are really good. I will hopefully manage to get hold of some other China Glaze polishes at some point.

Have you tried China Glaze? What is your favourite China Glaze polish?

Ciate Advent Calendar Day 7: Fit For A Queen

Door number seven had a lovely shimmery silver polish behind it which was a great treat after getting up early this morning! This pretty polish is called Fit For A Queen. I love that this polish is both metallic and has a major shimmer throughout. I can't wait to see what it looks like once its on my nails!

Do you like silver polish? I think I might use this polish along side another polish to create some cute nail art!

Barry M Diamond Glitter Polish

Barry M's Diamond giltter polish is such a great glitter polish. It is one of those polishes that I like to always have in my collection because you can apply it over literally any colour of polish. You can see from the photos that I tried it over a festive red polish and I think it looks so pretty. It is a silver holographic polish which consists of tiny specs of glitter, medium glitter particles and large discs of glitter. As with all Barry M polishes it has a great formula, a great brush, it applies well and is hard wearing. Plus it is a very affordable price.

This is such a pretty polish! Have your tried it? What is your favourite Barry M glitter polish?

Ciate Advent Calendar Day 6: Sugar Plum Polish

Today I found a pretty lilac polish called Sugar Plum behind door number 6! I absolutely love pastel nail polish so very happy that Ciate have included pastel polishes in their advent calendar this year. I'm glad they are some of autumn and winters biggest colours too! I think we should always be able to wear pastel coloured polish all year round if we feel like it;)

Do you like wearing pastel colours on your nails? Let me know your thoughts!:)

Sally Hansen Misbehaved Nail Polish Strips

I think Sally Hansen's Misbehaved Nail Polish Strips are so cool. I had so many compliments while wearing them. They are metallic nail strips with a black fishnet print which is so unique. I don't think I have ever seen someone with fishnet nails before. They lasted over a week on my nails and I was so sad to clean them off as they looked awesome!

What do you think of this pattern? Would you try to recreate it with some of that plastic netting that you get oranges and sweets in? Hehe!

Cite Advent Calendar Day 5: Encore! Polish

The fifth polish in my Ciate Advent Calendar this year is an orangey red polish called Encore! It's a bit of a shame that this polish is so similar to the other polishes that were behind the first few doors but I guess you can wear yesterday's Miss Mistletoe Sequins with all of them. Im sure this polish will come in handy at some point for nail art:) Hopefully there will be something a bit different behind door number six!

What do you think? Is this polish a bit too similar to the first couple in the calendar?

Topshop Blitz Polish

Topshop's Blitz polish is a metallic deep raspberry pink polish with a hint of gold in it. This polish looks really purple in the photos but it is more pink than purple. The formula is really good and I only needed two coats for my nails to be perfect. I love that this polish has a thicker consistency than some of the other more expensive metallic polishes that I have tried which were quite thin. This polish applied so smoothly which is partly due to the brilliant brush. I think it would make a great Christmas gift this year. You could buy a couple of Topshop polishes and make a little Topshop polish bundle to put in someone's stocking.

What are your favourite metallic Topshop polishes? Would you like to find this polish in your stocking?:)

Ciate Advent Calendar Day 4: Miss Mistletoe Sequins

It's the 4th of December and as always I couldn't wait to open door number four on my Ciate advent calendar. The surprise behind the door today was Miss Mistletoe Sequins which is a mixed loose glitter. I'm really looking forward to trying this out as I like the Ciate Sequin Manicures. The more glitter the better! These sequins consist of a festive array of colours. There are gold, pink and red glitter particles in Miss Mistletoe. I think these sequins will look so cute on my nails. Ahh I just opened the bottle and the sequins went everywhere including all over my iPad! Just as well I didn't get them between the keys of my laptop!!!

Do you like wearing loose glitter on your nails? Have you tried Ciate's Sequin Manicure?

Jessica Platinum Wishes Polish

Jessica's Platinum Wishes polish is an amazing multicoloured black glitter polish. It looks rather great in the bottle and on your nails. It's perfect for Christmas parties this winter or for just a bit of added sparkle during the dark, cold days. I would recommend applying this polish over a black polish. This is because the Platinum Wishes polish is quite murky on its own and really looks best in my opinion as a top coat over black polish. This polish applies smoothly and the brush is great. It was really really difficult to get photographs which truly showed how pretty this polish is. The colour combination of the glitter particles in this polish is quite unusual but it works really well. There are blue, green, gold and bronze glitter particles which really do look great over black polish.

This polish would make a lovely gift for someone over the festive period as Jessica polish is at the slightly higher end of the polish price spectrum.

What are your thoughts on this polish? Would you try it?

Ciate Advent Calendar Day 3: Hopscotch Polish

The Ciate polish of the day is a bright orange polish called Hopscotch. I am really glad that this year Ciate have added some brighter polishes to their advent calendar. It's great to see some bolder colours in winter. I'm definitely a fan of wearing orange polish all year round.

Do you wear bright polish in the winter? Is this a colour that you would wear?

OPI's A Woman's Prague-Ative Polish

OPI's A Woman's Prague-Ative is an amazing bronze shimmery polish. It doesn't have the simplest of names but it is such a pretty polish with hints of gold and copper throughout it. I was a little disappointed with the formula of this polish as I found it was rather thin in comparison to other polishes. However, if you are an OPI fan you might not be bothered by this. I think you would need about three coats of this polish before it is totally opaque but once applied it looks really nice. I quite liked the polish brush and found it applied the polish well. Even though this polish is a bit thin it is great for nail art if you are using a sponge. This polish might be just what you are looking for this festive season!

Have you tried this polish? What did you think of the formula?

Ciate Advent Calendar Day 2: Boudoir

It's the second of December and the advent calendar opening is in full swing! The second polish which I received from the Ciate Mini Mani Month advent calendar is a lovely deep red polish called Boudoir. It's such a great festive colour. Until recently I didn't have a red polish like this so I'm happy to have received this one as it is a flat red which is different to the other red polish that I have which has a slight shimmer!

Do you like wearing red polish all year round or do you only wear it during the festive season?

Nails Inc's St James Gel Effect Polish

I thought I would start the month with a very festive polish post. Nails Inc's St James Gel Effect polish is a great red polish which is perfect for the festive season. I didn't actually have a really nice red polish before so I am glad I bought this polish. The polish has a very sheer and subtle shimmer through it which is only noticeable in direct light. It is pretty nonetheless. This polish is meant to have a gel formula. I didn't really notice much difference to Nails Inc's non-gel formulas. I found the formula was just as brilliant as always. The brush was slightly wider than Nails Inc's usual brushes but was still really good. You have to be careful you don't load the brush up with too much polish though. The quality of this polish was great as expected. It provides great coverage and opaqueness after two coats of polish!

If you are looking for a pretty, hard wearing red polish this festive season I would definitely recommend this one. I really like it and will be teaming it up with glitter and some gorgeous snow flake polish later this month!

What is your favourite red polish? Have you tried this polish or the other colours in the range?

Ciate Advent Calendar Day 1: Snow Globe

So, its the first of December woooop! I was so excited to open my Ciate Advent Calendar this morning and I was not disappointed. Today's Ciate polish is called snow globe and is a really pretty clear polish with flakes of colour changing glitter. The flakes of glitter change from gold to green to blue to purple when the light hits them at certain angles. I can't wait to try this polish and compare it to the other polishes like this that I have tried as I have always found them a bit of a let down. They always tend to be a bit thick and you end up overloading your nail with polish to get enough of the glitter flakes on it!

I have taken photos of this polish in different types of light to attempt to show you how pretty it looks!

What do you think of is polish? Have you opened your advent calendars yet?:)
