Tanya Burr's Bright & Early Polish

Tanya Burr's Bright & Early Polish is an awesome coral polish which is one of my favourite nail polish shades at the moment. I am sure you can see how pretty this polish is from the photos. With the awesome formula which is opaque in two coats and perfect brush for application this polish is an all round winner for me. I am so happy that the lovely Tanya made sure that her polish provided everything that polish should. Although, I was not expecting anything less from her.

I think this gorgeous coral polish will look fantastic this spring & summer. I'm planning to do some cute polka dot nail art with it.

Are you a fan of coral polish too? Have you tried any of Tanya's polishes? If so, which one is your favourite?

Tanya Burr's Peaches & Cream Polish

When I ordered Tanya Burr's Peaches & Cream nail polish from FeelUnique.com I thought it was a peach shade. However, I feel it is more of a nude shade. Normally I wouldn't wear nude polish as I'm much more of a bright colour nail polish person. After trying Tanya's lovely polish I have decided I actually really like the look it gives. If you want really subtle, understated nail polish I would recommend Tanya's Peaches & Cream polish. It has a gorgeous formula which applies beautifully with the great brush provided and is opaque within two coats.

I'm glad I bought this polish as it has allowed me to try something new. I think I am going to try and use it with some very chic nail art.

Are you a fan of nude nail polish? What do you think of Tanya's Peaches & Cream Polish?

Tanya Burr Be Bright, Be Happy,Be You Polish

My second instalment in my Tanya Burr Nail Polish series is on the beautiful pink polish which is called Be Bright,Be Happy,Be You.:) Firstly, I think this is a super cute name. This pink polish looks so lovely on my nails and it applies without any streaks which is brilliant. The polish glides smoothly onto the nails as it has a fantastic formula and a great brush. As you will have read in my first post I was really impressed by her polish formula and brush. I don't really want to keep repeating myself as that is rather boring but Tanya's polishes seem to tick all the boxes. So, congratulations Tanya and please keep making lovely polish!

I really love this shade of pink. What do you guys think? Have you tried any of Tanya's polishes?

Tanya Burr's Little Duck Polish

Hey guys!

I have finally tried out all of the Tanya Burr Nail Polishes that I bought so I thought I would do a five part series to show you the swatches!

I'm starting off the series with Tanya's gorgeous mint polish which is called Little Duck. I really am a mint polishaholic. I just cannot resist buying different mint polishes. Maybe it is because mint polish always looks great on nails. I think Tanya has chosen a great mint shade for her polish.

I am extremely pleased to say that I really like this polish.  As soon as I opened the polish bottle I knew that the formula would be great. It wasn't too thick or too thin-it was just perfect. The brush was just right and provided fantastic polish application. Within two coats of polish my nails were coated nicely, totally opaque and without streaks.

I also love the names that Tanya has chosen for her polishes and the colour selection. I'm excited to see which polish colours Tanya will release in the future.

I think if you are looking to treat yourself to a polish from the middle of the price spectrum Tanya's collection of polishes are definitely worth a try.

I love this mint polish! Have you tried any of Tanya's nail polishes?or are there any you have your eye on?:)

Topshop's Wisdom Polish

Topshop’s Wisdom Polish is a gorgeous metallic lilac polish. I am a huge fan of lilac polish so this polish is perfect for me. I wish I could have a car that was metallic purple or lilac but you don’t really see many of them about. I often put glitter polish over metallic polish to stop me getting bored with just wearing plain metallic polish. I might try some glitter over this polish. This is such a pretty polish and I definitely recommend it if you like metallic polish and have not tried Topshop polishes! It is an absolute dream to apply as it has a gorgeous formula and a great brush. If you have not tried Topshop polish it is definitely worth a try!

What do you think of this polish? Do you like metallic polish?

Essie Mojito Madness Polish

I had heard a lot about Essie’s Mojito Madness polish so I thought I would add it to my collection since I did not have that many green polishes. I am much more of a mint polish fan so I thought that I would switch things up a bit and be a bit more daring with my polish. I think it looks great on my nails even though it is a kind of pea green colour which doesn’t really make it sound that nice. It applied so beautifully to my nails with its lovely wide, soft bristled brush. I applied my standard two coats of this polish for complete opacity.  I personally find Essie polishes really hard wearing when they are paired with a base and top coat.

This polish might not be to everyone’s taste but I like to try out colours that I wouldn’t necessarily have worn before. Plus it was part of a 3 for 2 offer in Superdrug. Bargain!

Have you tried this polish? Do you like green polishes or do you give them a miss?

Models Own's Cornflower Gleam HyperGel Polish

I have another quick post for you today as I am super busy. Models Own’s Cornflower Gleam HyperGel Polish is a gorgeous pastel blue colour. I have always loved pastel colours ever since I was a kid so there was no doubt in my mind that I would like the polish colour. I found this polish applied nicely to my nails with the great brush provided. I used two coats of this polish for a perfectly opaque finish. It dries fairly fast and has a glossy sheen to it which I really like. Make sure you don't over load your nails with too much polish though or it will take a long time to dry and look messy.
I can’t seem to get enough Gel nail polish at the moment so I am glad I got this polish when it was on sale!
Have you tried these new Models Own Polishes? What is your favourite Models Own Polish?

Kardashian Kolor Nail Polish

I was really interested in trying some of the Kardashian Kolor polishes from Nicole by OPI so I ordered one of the mini sets from Amazon.  The set is called Celeb-Bitties and includes four mini polishes which are super cute. The set consists of a deep red polish called Sealed with a Kris, a bright pink polish called All Kendall-ed Up, a pale pink polish called Kim-pletely in Love and a pink glitter polish which is called Wear Something Spar-Kylie. I can't wait to see what these polishes are like, especially in terms of formula.
Have you ever tired these Kardashian Kolor polishes? What did you think of them? Which polishes from this range do you own?

NOTD: Turquoise & Leopard Print

Hey everyone! I've got a quick post for you today. I needed to do my nails quickly at the weekend for the week ahead and decided to wear my go to nail polish - Bourjois Turquoise Block. It's a gorgeous colour and an absolute dream to apply plus it dries really quickly and you can get away with only one coat of polish!

I was feeling in the mood for some colour this week (though when am I not?!) so I decided to add a bit of multicoloured leopard print to one nail on each hand.

Some people might say its not the most appropriate choice of polish for work but I think we all need a bit of colour in our lives and what better way to do it than by wearing pretty nail polish!

What do you think of my NOTD? I absolutely love hearing from you all!:)

My Blog's 1st Birthday!!

Hey everyone!

I am very excited to say that exactly one year ago today I published my first ever blog post! It is crazy to think that a whole year has passed since I nervously pressed the publish button. I was seriously so scared to start my blog but I am so glad that I took the plunge as it is literally one of the best things I have ever done.

It is so cool to see how my blog has developed over the past 12 months and how much better my posts and photographs are. I have learned so many new skills which will benefit me a lot if I ever decide to start my own business. Writing my blog has given me a massively positive thing to focus on in my spare time.

It is so nice to be part of the beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogging community because everyone is so supportive and encouraging. You rarely come across bloggers who put you down. I feel like the world would be a way better place if everyone was as supportive as bloggers are haha!

I would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who reads my blog and those of you who have supported it since I started it a year ago! Thank you also for all of your comments and tweets. Fellow bloggers will know how lovely it is to interact with other bloggers who have kind words to say about your blog.

Writing my blog has helped me a lot over the last year and I would say that if you are thinking about writing a blog definitely go for it! It has helped me to build my confidence and now I have even ventured into the world of YouTube which I never thought I would be able to do. You make some lovely friends through blogging too! So, don't wait any longer! Go and kick some blogging butt! Maybe I will even see you on YouTube one day!:-)

My parting words are......

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Topshop's Blue On Blue Polish

Topshop’s Blue On Blue Polish is a gorgeous metallic blue polish which I am loving at the moment.  I think I have one other metallic blue polish and it is a bit different to this one. I love how this polish is metallic but has a slight shimmer to it. I think this is a great polish if you are looking for a blue polish but would rather not wear a really bright blue colour. It’s a bit more subtle but it is still really pretty. Of course, as this is a Topshop polish I only have great things to say about its formula, brush and lasting ability. I really do think that Topshop polishes are a dream to apply.  Well done Topshop.  Your polishes are great!

What do you guys think of this polish? Are you a fan of Topshop polishes? I can’t believe it took me so long to try them!

I am having so much fun making videos that I am going to keep it up. I am just not very good with the technical side so hopefully over time they will improve.

Artwork #3

Here is the third in the series of my Artwork posts! This painting was really a chance for me to get used to using acrylic paint again as I haven't used it for about 8 years. Also, I had never painted on framed canvas before so that was interesting. I am not sure where I am going to keep all of these paintings though. At the moment I have them lying all over the place drying.

I now remember why I prefer oil paint over acrylic paint. Acrylic paint dries really quickly so you don't have very long to blend areas of your painting. Also, I find that acrylic paint is too watery for me and I work better with the thick formula of oil paint.

Do any of you like to paint? What do you prefer oil or acrylic paint?

Topshop High Voltage Polish

Topshop’s High Voltage polish is such a gorgeous deep pink colour that I had to post about it. If you have not tried Topshop’s nail polish I highly recommend that you do as it is just so darn amazing! Their High Voltage polish is no different. Not only is it a great colour it has a fantastic formula which applies just beautifully. The word “beautifully” really does need to be used here. Topshop polishes glide on smoothly and easily with their perfect brush. This polish was completely opaque within two coats and glossy just like a gel polish. Have I won you over yet? I basically say the same thing about all Topshop polish but it really is true. I’m now a major fan!
Have you tried this Topshop nail polish? Do you like this colour of polish? I would love to hear from you in the comments section below!
