Light Up Christmas Decorations

I am such a huge fan of cute Christmas decorations especially when they light up. So, these colour changing decorations from Marks & Spencer were a must for my family this year. They were three for two which made them a total bargain.

We have had cute decorations like this before and they have been great for lighting up the dining table on Christmas Day. They are also so lovely on the mantelpiece when you are chilling around the Christmas tree with your family watching a film. I think I will take a couple of the fibre optic Christmas trees to work for my desk.

What do you guys think about these decorations? Have you bought any of these this year? I would love to hear from you!

NEW Models Own GlitterGel Polishes

I am extremely excited that I have managed to get my wee hands on Models Own's new GlitterGel Polish Collection. I have been waiting for months for new polishes to be released and they are finally here. I actually also picked up one of their Twilight HyperGel polishes in the shade Lunar Grey which you will see photographed below.

The black GlitterGel polish is called Starburst, the gold GlitterGel polish is called Sheer Sparkle, the red GlitterGel polish is called Red Carpet, the light pink GlitterGel polish is called Crystal Pink and the deep pink GlitterGel polish is called Petunia Glitz.

I cannot wait to try all of these gorgeous polishes out as they look so amazing!

Have you guys bought any of Models Own's amazing GlitterGel polishes? What do you think of them? Let me know your thoughts!

Christmas Snowflake Decorations

How beautiful is this snowflake Christmas decoration? My mum discovered these in John Lewis and bought a couple of them as she knew I would love them. I was so excited when she showed me them.

I absolutely love how pretty and sparkly they are. I tried to take photos that would do them justice but I'm not sure you can see just how amazing they are.

I think these must be some of the most gorgeous Christmas decorations that we have ever owned!

What do you guys think of this snowflake decoration? Have you bought any new Christmas decorations this year? I would love to hear from you!

Nails Inc's Beaumont Mews Dotty Polish

Nails Inc's Beaumont Mews Dotty Polish is a super cute pink and blue matte glitter polish. I have paired it with a pastel blue polish and I think it looks really pretty.

Beaumont Mews applied really nicely and fairly evenly with a little bit of strategic matte glitter placement. It dried quickly and smoothly as well as being really hard wearing.

I think this is a great polish for someone who would like something a little bit different.

What do you guys think of Nails Inc's Beaumont Mews Dotty Polish? Do you have any other polishes similar to this one? I love hearing from you guys!

NOTD: Green Holographic & Yellow Glitter

I really liked wearing this polish combination. I'm wearing Color Club's Angel Kiss green holographic polish with MAC's Fashion Fizz glitter polish on one nail. I really wasn't sure if this combination would work but it was actually really nice.

What do you guys think about this combination? Is it something that you would wear on your nails? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below!

Nails Inc's Upper Berkeley Street Dotty Polish

Nails Inc's Upper Berkeley Street polish is from the Dotty Collection. It is a really unusual bright pink, light pink and peach matte glitter polish. I have teamed it up with a gold shimmery polish and I think it looks awesome.

Upper Berkeley Street polish applied really nicely and wasn't too thick or too thin. As always I did a bit of strategic matte glitter placement. This polish lasted well and was hard wearing.

I really love this polish combination! What do you guys think about Nails Inc's Upper Berkeley Street polish? I would love to hear what you guys think!

Nails Inc's Roseway Gingham Polish

Nails Inc's Roseway is a really cool pink & white Gingham Polish. Its so pink and white matte glitter particles create a really cool gingham effect as they are square. I think that is such a cool idea.

I painted Roseway over a blue polish which actually looks more purple with the pink & white gingham particles. I love this effect! I think it is so unique.

This polish applied really nicely with a little bit of strategic matte glitter particle placement. I find that toothpicks are great for this. The formula of this polish is really nice and so is the brush.  It lasted pretty well on my nails and the matte glitter is hard wearing.

What do you guys think about this polish? Have you tried it before? Do you like the look of the gingham effect?

MAC Beauty Haul

I am rather excited to say that a few weeks ago I visited my local MAC store for the first time as I wanted to buy some of their amazing glitter nail polish for my friends birthdays.  I managed to purchase the polishes but I also picked up a few treats for myself.

I have been looking for an eyebrow setting gel for ages because my brows are a bit crazy so I decided to try MAC's Brow Set Gel.

I was having trouble with my MAC eyeshadows so a very helpful shop assistant advised trying their Pro Longwear Paint Pot. I bought the shade Painterly.

My favourite face powder has been discontinued so I decided to try MAC's Transparent Finishing Powder. I have never actually used a transparent power to set my make up before.

When I found out that MAC's Extra Dimension Eye Shadows were creamier than their normal shadows I knew I had to try one. I chose Sweet Heat and have literally been wearing it ever since.

The blusher was actually my Mum's but she decided that she would never wear it so she gave it to me. That means that I am now the proud owner of a pretty MAC blush.

I would love to hear from you if you have used any of these MAC products before! Or have you been hoping to try any of these in the future?

Topshop's Caught Your Eye Polish

Topshop's Caught Your Eye polish is a gorgeous pale duck egg blue shade. I am always attracted to pale pastel blue polishes like this. I find it so hard to resist them.

This polish is extremely pretty and has a great formula which glides on smoothly to the nails. I love how well pigmented this polish is and my nails were totally opaque and streak free  after two coats of polish. I also really love the polish brush-it works so well with the formula. I found that this polish dries quickly and it is very hard wearing!

Overall, I think this polish is great! What do you think about Topshop's Caught Your Eye Polish? Have you tried it before? Let me know in the comments section.

NOTD: Silver Holographic & Blue Glitter

I really loved wearing this nail polish combination. The silver holographic polish is Blue Heaven by Color Club and the Blue Glitter Strands Polish is Sparkledust by MAC. The hint of blue in the silver holographic polish goes extremely well with Sparkledust.

What do you guys think? Do you like this nail polish combo? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Essie's Chills & Thrills Polish

Essie's Chills & Thrills Polish is a striking medium blue polish with a matte appearance. I love blue nail polish and I wear it all year round but I think this polish is great for autumn/winter if you still want to wear blue polish.

I love Essie's polish formula. It applies really nicely as the formula is super smooth. I only used two coats of this polish to achieve the look of totally opaque nails. It dries pretty quickly and can last up to a week without chipping

I think Essie's Chills & Thrills polish is awesome. What do you think about this polish?Have you tried this polish before?

Topshop's Heart Of Gold Polish

Topshop's Heart Of Gold Polish is a lovely metallic yellow gold polish. I love a good old metallic gold polish. They are always so pretty and can be used for creating some shimmery nail art.

Heart Of Gold has a gorgeous smooth and highly pigmented formula which glides on beautifully to the nails. My nails were opaque and totally streak free after two coats of polish which is excellent. I love how fast drying this polish is and it has a super sleek finish. Use a good base and top coat and this polish will last for ages without chipping.

What do you think about Topshop's Heart Of Gold Polish? Are you a fan of metallic nail polish? It would be great to hear your thoughts!

Mindy Kaling "Why Not Me?"

I was so excited when I found out that Mindy Kaling had a new book coming out called "Why Not Me?". I love the lady herself and I read her first book a few months ago and thought it was great. I knew there was high a chance that I would love her new offering. And I did. Actually I loved it so much more than her first book. It is one of the best books I have ever read.

In "Why Not Me?" Mindy shares so many hilarious and interesting stories about herself and her experiences. Just about all of them made me chuckle to myself. I was so interested I just couldn't stop reading. I really do think it was more entertaining than her first book!

There are so many amazing stories in this book that I don't want to spoil for you but there is one in particular about Barack Obama and a member of staff which you have to read. I don't want to go into detail about this story as I think YOU NEED TO READ IT!

I highly recommend this book especially if you watch The Mindy Project. I think you would benefit from knowing what Mindy's speaking voice sounds like.

I give this book 100 marks out of 10-that is how much I loved it. It's definitely one to put on your Christmas list.

Have you guys read Mindy Kaling's book "Why Not Me?" ? Is it something you would like to read? I would love to know!
