Dior's State Of Gold Nail Polish

Dior's State Of Gold Polish is an awesome golden glitter which I applied over Dior's Gris-Or Polish. I photographed it with a flash and also in natural daylight.

State Of Gold applied really well to the nails and has a good balance between glitter and polish. The consistency of this polish is really nice too. The brush applied the glitter pretty evenly which was great and it dried smoothly. Overall, this is a really lovely polish.

What are your thoughts on Dior's State Of Gold Glitter Polish? Do you have this polish? It would be great to hear what you think!

Dior's Gris-Or Nail Polish

Dior's Gris-Or Nail Polish is a lovely metallic, shimmery champagne shade. I haven't tried many Dior Nail polishes but I thought this one was really nice.

Gris-Or applied really nicely to my nails with its great polish brush. I was fairly impressed with the formula of this polish as it was a great consistency and had good pigmentation. I only had to apply two coats of this polish for totally opaque nails. It dries rather quickly too.

What do you guys think about Dior's Gris-Or Nail Polish? Have you tried this polish or any other Dior Polishes? I'd love to know what you think!

Topshop's Crystal Clouds Nail Polish

Topshop's Crystal Clouds Polish is an awesome metallic, shimmery golden nail polish. I love Topshop's metallic nail polishes. They are great for creating nail art.

Crystal Clouds has an amazingly excellent formula just like all of Topshop's polishes. It has a perfect consistency and glides on smoothly to the nails. It is extremely well pigmented so I only needed two coats of this polish for streak free nails. The polish brush is fantastic at applying the polish evenly. It dries quickly and is rather hard wearing over a week.

I'd definitely recommend checking out Topshop's Crystal Clouds Nail Polish especially if you are looking for a golden polish.

What do you think about Topshop's Crystal Clouds Nail Polish? Have you added this polish to your collection yet?  Let me know what your thoughts are!

What's Your Sign? has an excellently smooth and highly pigmented formula. It's great brush applies the polish to the nails beautifully. Your nails are totally streak free within two coats of this polish which is fantastic. The consistency of this polish is lovely- it is not too thick or too thin. Tanya Burr's Galaxy Eyeshadow Palette

Tanya Burr's Galaxy Eye Shadow Palette is extremely cute and looks like you could create some lovely day and night looks with it.  The palette that I really wanted to buy was sold out so I got this one and her Fairytale palette instead.

The shade that I am looking most forward to trying is called Moonlight. I think it will look really cool when teamed up with Stormy Sky.  I am hoping that the formula and pigmentation of these eye shadows will be good. I haven't had a chance to try them out yet.

What are your thoughts on Tanya Burr's Galaxy Eye Shadow a Palette? Have any of you tried this palette or any of the other eyeshadow palettes from her collection? I'd love to hear from you!

1930's Photographs

When I was clearing out my loft a few weeks ago I found these old photos in amongst some of my Grandma's possessions. I don't actually ever remember seeing these photos when I was young so it was really nice to find them unexpectedly. They don't have any details about when they were taken and who is in the photos written on them but I am quite sure that the little girl in the photos is my grandma. We have guessed that they were probably taken in the early 1930's judging by how old my grandma looks.

I don't think I have ever seen photos of my grandma as a child so these are so precious to me. It is so cool to see her and her family just living their normal 1930's life before the war. I don't think she owned many photos from her childhood so I am sure these were precious to her too.

I really just wanted to show you these because I love seeing old photographs of real people from the 1900's, 1910's, 1920's 1930's etc because their lives were so different to ours. My grandma always used to tell me stories about the war but I don't remember asking much about what things were like in the 1920's and 1930's. Plus my grandma was a very special and important person to me which makes these photos even more significant.

Have you found any old photographs of your family members recently that are really special to you? I would love to hear your stories!

Color Club's Crystal Baller Holographic Nail Polish

How amazing is Color Club's Crystal Baller Holographic Blue Nail Polish? I adore blue nail polish and I can't get enough of this amazing holographic effect so this polish is just perfect for me.

Crystal Baller completely reinforces my opinion that Color Club Holographic Polishes have amazing formulas. Crystal Baller has an amazingly smooth and highly pigmented formula which applies effortlessly to the nails. You could probably get away with just one coat of this polish but I would recommend two coats for totally opaque nails. The brush that comes with this polish is brilliant. I found this polishes dries quickly and is super hard wearing.

I have worn this nail polish so much since I got it and I never tire of it. I highly recommend it!

What do you guys think about Color Club's Crystal Baller Holographic Nail Polish? Have you tried any of the polishes from this collection before?

Essie Nail Polish Haul

Recently I bought a couple of new polishes from one of my top nail polish brands, Essie. They released their Retro Revival collection of nail polish at the beginning of the year so I chose a few that I would like to try.

I bought Starry Starry Night which is an awesome deep blue polish with silver glitter through it, Bikini With A Martini, which is a very sheer shimmery light pink shade and Sequin Sash, which is a very sheer shimmery nude shade. I also bought She's Picture Perfect, which is a lovely pastel purple shade with a pink iridescent shimmer throughout it. She's Picture Perfect is not from the Retro Revival Collection.

These are all such lovely polishes. I love the pattern on them. I can't wait to show you what they look like on my nails in future posts.

What do you think about these new Essie Polishes? Have you tried any of them? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Topshop's Storm Child Nail Polish

Topshop's Storm Child Polish is a beautiful metallic shimmery silver polish. I can never resist a Topshop Nail Polish because they are such amazing polishes so I knew that I needed Storm Child in my life.

Storm Child has an excellent, smooth formula which applies to the nails effortlessly with its fantastic brush. The consistency of this polish was brilliant and the pigmentation was spot on. I applied two coats of this polish for perfectly opaque nails. As with all Topshop nail polishes I found that this polish dries fairly quickly and was very hard wearing.

I highly recommend trying Topshop's Storm Child Nail Polish and all other Topshop polishes because they are without a doubt some of the best polishes around at the moment.

What do you think of Topshop's Storm Child Nail Polish? Do you have any Topshop polishes already? Let me know what you think!

MAC's Mean & Green Nail Polish

MAC's Mean & Green Nail Polish is very unusual as it looks purple, green and bronze when light hits it from different angles.  If you are looking for a slightly more edgy nail look then this polish might be perfect for you. This polish is also very shimmery which I love.

Mean & Green is really nice to apply and has a lovely smooth formula. I thought I might need three costs of this polish but it's pigmentation is actually really good so I only needed to apply two coats. The brush is great and this polish dries really quickly like most MAC polishes do. I made sure to wear this polish with a good base and top coat to make sure it would last as long as possible.

What are your thoughts on MAC's Mean & Green Nail Polish? Would you like to try it or have you already tried it? It is always great to hear what you guys think!

Nails Inc's Mayfair Market Rose Gold Polish

Nails Inc's Mayfair Market Rose Gold Polish is really pretty. It has Sweet Almond Oil and Matcha in it but I just bought it because I love that it was rose gold. Hopefully with those added ingredients it will be great for my nails.

Mayfair Market has a lovely formula that glides onto the nails. The consistency is amazing- it is like molten metal. I love the wide brush that comes with the polish and the pigmentation is excellent. Two coats of this polish and my nails were totally opaque. This polish dries nice and quickly too.

What do you guys think about Nails Inc's Mayfair Market Polish? Have you tried it before? I love hearing from you!

Maybelline's The Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow Palette

Maybelline's The Blushed Nudes Eyeshadow Palette has a lot of pretty shimmery shades in it. It only seems to have one matte shade so I feel like it would be best used in conjunction with another palette or single eyeshadow. There is a really nice selection of shimmery shades in this palette though. I think I will definitely be using this palette in conjunction with Maybelline's The Nudes Palette.

What do you guys think about the shimmery shades in Maybelline's The Blushed Nudes Palette? Have you tried this palette before? If so, how did you find it?

MAC's Fairy Land Foiled Faerie Whispers Eyeshadow

I absolutely love MAC's Fairy Land Foiled Faerie Whispers Eyeshadow. It looks just as amazing on your eyes as it does in its packaging. It is super beautiful. I think it is my new favourite eyeshadow as I constantly keep reaching for it every time I do my eye make up.

Fairy Land can be used on top of other eye shadows but I've found that it also looks good when used alone. MAC have created an amazing eye shadow formula here which can't quite be called a powder or a cream. It is definitely somewhere in between. This means that Fairy Land applies to the eyes amazingly and is what makes me love it so much. It is a very shimmery/sparkly eye shadow but because it's not a powder you don't get lots of fall out. Also, because it does not have a cream texture it doesn't crease and isn't greasy.  You can use it both wet and dry. I always find that applying it with my finger works best for me.

I literally cannot speak highly enough of this eye shadow. It is just an absolute joy to apply and wearing it brings lots of sparkly goodness to my days.

What do you guys think about MAC's Fairy Land Foiled Faerie Whispers Eye Shadow? Have you tried it before? I would love to hear from you!

Topshop's Shuffle The Cards Eyeshadow

Topshop's Shuffle The Cards Eyeshadow is a really cool golden pink shade. I have never tried any of Topshop's eyeshadows before so I'm really excited to try this one. It had really great reviews on Topshop's website so it seems really promising.

What do you guys think about this eyeshadow? Have you tried it or any of Topshop's other eyeshadows? I would love to know about your experiences!
