I have decided to write a 5 post series about Nails Inc's Bling it on glitter sets because I think they each deserve a post of their own.
I got Bling it on Hologram for my Christmas and wasn't sure what I was letting myself in for. I had never tried dipping my nails in to loose glitter before - it was a revelation rather than a mess.
Nails Inc's Bling It On Hologram is a brilliant set of glitter pots and mini varnishes. The set comes with two different hologram glitters - one is a fine silver holographic glitter and the other is a pink chunky glitter. You also get a mini white 4ml polish and a mini 4ml caviar top coat. The set comes with an application tray which doubles up as a funnel for pouring your left over glitter back into your glitter pot. A really cute sparkly brush is included to help you to brush any excess glitter off of your fingers back onto your tray and then into your pot.
Applying the glitter is actually a lot less of a faff than I thought it would be and is actually really fun. You really don't make much mess as long as you don't fling the glitter everywhere. Some of the glitter does stick to your fingers but once your nails are dry you can wash your hands and it comes off pretty easily.
Before you apply the top coat the glitter is ridiculously sparkly. It really does look amazing! Although, once the top coat has been applied the sparkle lessens as I think all loose glitters would do if top coat is painted over them. When your nails catch the light they do still sparkle though so it doesn't ruin the effect it just mutes it slightly.
I think the pink glitter was the slightly more sparkly out of the two glitters. The sparkle of the silver glitter doesn't really show up in the photos which is a shame. I think out of all the bling it on glitters this fine silver one is probably the least amazing.
This glitter is really hard wearing and I wore my glitter nails for a whole week and it didn't chip or peel off. My top tip for applying and wearing this glitter is to paint a layer of top coat over your polish to stick the glitter onto your nails.
I really like these Bling it on glitter sets. Some people might argue that they are a bit over priced for what they are. You could totally buy pots of glitter and create your own glitter manicure! However, I think these are great quality products and they make such good presents. You get a lot of use out of each pot of glitter. You can cover all ten finger nails and it looks like you haven't used up any of your glitter.
I'm looking forward to incorporating this loose glitter into some nail art designs soon.
What do you think of my Bling it on Hologram nails? Do you like to dip your nails in glitter or do you prefer polish?
Oh wow! They look amazing!!!!! I would sooooo love to wear these on a night out with an all black outfit xxx
